Summit Point, WV – Capping off an already remarkable weekend, D&N Motorsports Crew Chief Don Short was honored with the prestigious Ironclad Gloves Crew Chief of the Race Award, sharing the accolade with the dedicated crew from the Motorkars Audi team.
Throughout the weekend, Don immersed himself in a whirlwind of activity, meticulously gathering data and diligently servicing the No. 24 Saturn between sessions. His unwavering commitment and attention to detail ensured the car performed at its peak for the highly anticipated Sunday points race.

DENNIS SHORT, OWNER/DRIVER NO. 24 SATURN SW2: “I feel incredibly fortunate to have my dad as my crew chief. We both love motor racing, and spending time together doing something we enjoy is wonderful. Trust plays a significant role in our relationship, and it’s reassuring to get into the car knowing that everything has been checked and serviced properly. I am proud of him; he truly deserves this award.”
DON SHORT, CREW CHIEF NO. 24 SATURN SW2: “I needed a new pair of gloves, but my true talent was perfecting the art of not spilling my beer on the pit crew.”
